FORMS OF BAIL
In the United States there are several forms of bail used, these vary from jurisdiction, but the common forms of bail include:
- Personal Recognizance: Raise your hand and promise to return for court dates.
- Cash: The full amount has to be paid in cash before you are released.
- Surety:
A third party agrees to be responsible for the debt or obligation of the defendant. In many jurisdictions this service is provided commercially by a bail bondsman
- Can be paid in two ways:
- 10% of Surety bail can be posted in cash
- Use a bondsman and only pay a 5% fee.
- (example: a $10,000 surety bail would be $1,000 cash or $500 Bail Bondsman Fee.)

BAIL HEARING
- District Court Providence:
- Bail Hearings usually take place in Courtroom 4D in the Garrahy Building.
- Superior Court Bail:
- Hearings take place on Benefit Street, 5th Floor, Court Room 9
SERVICES
- Transportation
- On occasion we provide transportation from the ACI to a clients home if needed.
BAIL FROM ACI
There is a $25 fee the ACI charges each person bailed from the Intake Center. COLLECT CALLS ACCEPTED!
Release Times from the ACI:
- Monday - Friday:
- 1:30pm
- 5:00pm
- 7:00pm
- 8:00pm
- Saturday and Sunday:
- 6:00pm
